WordPress

WordPressWalker Park Media specializes in the WordPress platform. All of our sites are built using WordPress on either semi-custom or custom themes chosen and designed to match the current client branding.  Our  portfolio of work  features a variety of different industries, businesses and e-commerce websites.

WordPress is an extremely well supported open-source web platform. It’s user friendly, making it an ideal choice for our clients.

While platforms can sometimes be seen as trendy, WordPress has pushed past being a fad and will be here longterm. And as the digital marketing landscape changes on a regular basis, developers continue to support WordPress by creating new themes and plugin systems that increase the scope of it’s capabilities.

No website is build-it and leave-it. We agree that  a static website is better than no website at all, we encourage websites that grow and change with new and fresh content. WordPress manages content and allows clients to easily maintain or add content on their site or create search engine friendly content via blogging.

As with all sites, regular maintenance and technical updates are required. We support our clients getting involved with their WordPress site and learning how to  manage certain maintenance aspects on their own. For clients who are not technical or hands-on, we offer maintenance services  that can be packaged as  part of a digital marketing plan.

Don’t confuse our WordPress services with wordpress.com.  WordPress is a platform that can be installed on any server, and choosing to go with self-hosted WordPress is completely different from setting up a blog at WordPress.com. It requires technical skill, coding skill and design skill to set up your site.

Because WordPress is open source and so well supported , we are able to create quality sites for clients at very welcoming price points, even when clients are looking for extensive features on their site.  We don’t spend our time on development, we spend it on design.
